Coleman was born in Lancashire, and born in the town of Blackpool. She was the head girl at Arnold School, Blackpool and received straight A's in her A level. If Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she stated that it is regrettable not to have had the typical university experience. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she was a part of the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The play also got favorable reviews. She was awarded with an award for her exceptional performance. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two prizes. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards; and most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in the Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman was set to play the Doctor's companion alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her for the role due to her being the most efficient in her interactions with Smith and could speak more rapidly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. However she has been more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Out of all the characters Eva has played on TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which are the most notable. The latter even garnered her two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards and gave her a chance to explore her creativity in music. In addition to being an actor, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
